Defend Your Art

Today is the last day of November which means I finally get to shave! Not shaving is annoying. My mustache would touch my upper lip when I take a shower or any other time when my face would be wet and it's annoying. I'm glad it's the end of the month. But it was for a good cause and I'm glad I did it. I'll do it again next year but I'm gonna clean it up, unlike this year when I just let it grow out and not even touch it with a razor.

Today was also the second day back to school from our week long Thanksgiving break. Honestly, I could've taken another week off. :P It actually would've been nice to have. But at least we have 3 weeks more until Winter break! :D

More radio previews of more songs from Morning Musume's 11th album have been released:

Onna Gokoro to Nanto Yara

Bravo!

Both of these songs sound really good. Morning Musume's 11th album will be released tomorrow! Be sure to buy it!

Danger Days

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving Day yesterday! I did. :D I ate a lot. :P

I watched the amazing 20 seconds that the Power Rangers Samurai were on in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. :P If you didn't see it, here it is:

Yah. All they did was pose a bit and stand around. Or at least that's what was on TV:

I admit, the world balloon thing looks pretty epic, but how come they didn't show the Rangers doing fighting moves on TV??? Damn you NBC! Ah well, at least they were on TV and a part of something big like this. More pictures and videos of the Power Rangers Samurai at the parade are on the Official Power Rangers Facebook.

Today was Black Friday and shopping stores and malls everywhere were crowded. My mom didn't wanna go anywhere cuz of the crowds, so I went myself! XD It was pretty fun and I went to my local mall to pick up My Chemical Romance's new album Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys.

The album is really epic! The first 10 tracks are awesome with MCR going back to their roots, but at the same time, trying some poppy and jumpy sounds. I especially like "Planetary (GO!)", "Party Poison", and "Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back". I especially like how they added Japanese in "Party Poison". After that, the album gets really slow and the songs are really weird, nothing that MCR would really do. 0.o Then it goes to "Destroya", which is an interesting, yet repetitive, song and again, something MCR wouldn't really write, in my opinion. After that, it gets slow again with the 5 minute track "The Kids From Yesterday". The last song "Vampire Money" is a fun and epic way to end the album with the lead singer introducing his band mates in the beginning of the song.

I really like this album. If you wanna hear some awesome alternative/punk rock music, pick up MCR's "Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys". To listen to the whole album (with some commentary from Dr. Death Defying) watch this:

Thankful Fantasy

Happy Thanksgiving Day everyone! This year, I am very thankful for a lot of things. My family, friends, all the luxuries I have that other people aren't able to have, and of course my girlfriend.

Right now as I am typing the post, I am watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and waiting for the Power Rangers Samurai make their debut to the world!

Photos of the Red and Pink Rangers in New York are on the Official Power Rangers Facebook:

Radio Previews for some of the tracks off of Morning Musume's 11th upcoming new album have been released:

Itoshiku Kurushii Kono Yoru ni

Fantasy ga Hajimaru

1 Kara 10 Made Aishite Hoshii

All of these tracks sound great and I can't wait for the new album to come out! :D

So to everyone once again, have a great Turkey Day! And don't forget to watch the Power Rangers Samurai on NBC and Nickelodeon today!

The House That Doubt Built

FINALLY!!! My stupid computer broke down and we had to take it in for repair again. It's been out for a few days, but now it's back! And thank goodness for that, because we're on our Thanksgiving break from school. We have a whole week off! :D

So last Friday, my band Nightmare's Riot played at our high school's talent show "OGT". Although we didn't win, we still had a lot of fun playing! I really felt like we gave that performance our all and the crowd really showed that to us. The crowd got really into it and I really thank every single person who participated in our performance:

This is the last time this year Nightmare's Riot will be having a performance. We will be back next year. :D So we were told to be at the school pavilion at around 4. So we got there at about 4:15 (of course our guitarist being the last one there :P) and we waited in a room for 3 FREAKIN HOURS UNTIL WE PLAYED! It was boring! From what we heard, the other acts were very good.

Then we played and I had so fun playing. We knew that this was going to be our last show of the year, so we had to give it our all. After playing, we were judged by supposedly-famous people in the fine arts industry...

Those judges can suck it. XD

They had no idea what they were talking about. And it wasn't just to us; they found something bad to say about every act, no matter how good the act was. Honestly, there is no point in having those judges. I think they were just there to BS the "constructive criticism" that they gave us and that we won't even consider. xP

After that, there were a few more acts. Then the final judging commenced and they handed out trophies to the top 3 acts (in the judges opinion -__-). I'm not saying that we should've won, because I don't. I honestly think the those other acts that won deserved it and they are all very talented. But I do think that the judges should have an appreciation for all types of music if they're gonna be judges for any music-related competition.

Well regardless, thank you to all who came to watch us play. Your participation means a lot to us. :D

Now on another note, tomorrow's Thanksgiving! :D I'm gonna die from eating too much good food! XD JK. But seriously, I love Thanksgiving. It's the next best day to get together with your family (the first being Christmas, of course). This year were spending the day at our Grandparent's house cuz they do most of the cookin, including the turkey. Yum. :P

And I'm also gonna be watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV. Why? Cuz the Power Rangers Samurai will be appearing! :D Yay! And afterward on Nickelodeon, the very first sneak preview of the new Power Rangers season will be on the air! More yay! :D

And the sneak preview has been leaked! If you do not want to be spoiled, don't watch it. Otherwise, WATCH IT NOW:

I'm so excited! :D

So to everyone, have a fantastic Thanksgiving Day!

OGT

So my high school is having a talent show today and my band Nightmare's Riot is in it! :D

I believe it was last month when we auditioned for this talent show. And our audition went horrible. Somehow, we made it, and we decided that we wanted to play a brand new song called "Ego Diligo Vos", which was the first song we played at our "Exclusive Show" at Bonita Library.

Yesterday, we had rehearsals for the talent show. It was supposed to run from 3-6, but it ended up being from 3:30-7:00. We found out that we are the first act after intermission. :D The rehearsals went much better than the auditions. We went through the song twice because the first time around the bass and vocals weren't loud enough. Go figure.... xP And the competition is really tough. There are really good performances by a lot of other talented people at our school.

So please, if you go to Otay Ranch High School, or if you just wanna listen to some to some good music and see some really cool performances, come to Otay Ranch High School today at the Pavilion! Doors open at 6pm and it costs $8 each person. It starts at 6:30 and ends at 8:30. Please come out and support us! If not, at least wish us luck... we need it. xP

Power Rangers Samurai Toy Line

Today is an amazing day. A day that will go down in history. A day that will be remembered always. Why? Because today is the day I finally uploaded a video on YouTube after over a month of not doing so...

And you thought that was important! XP

Well, it is to me. As some of you Power Rangers fans know, Power Rangers Samurai will be the new season of Power Rangers. It will air on Nickelodeon staring early 2011. A few days ago, it was announced that the season will consist of 43 episodes instead of just 40. Before that, it was released that the season will run for 2 years.

On October 30th, it was announced that during the Nicktoons Thanksgiving All Heroes Weekend, three Power Rangers Samurai Previews will be shown on Nicktoons. These previews are only expected to be a few minutes or less in length. But they will possibly be our first look into fresh footage of the cast and original footage of the new PR season.

On November 8th, it was released that the new Power Rangers Samurai will be making a debut in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. A press release states that the first sneak peak of Power Rangers Samurai will air on Nickelodeon right after the parade.

This now brings me to my newest video! Recently, Bandai America has released photos of the new Power Rangers Samurai toys. The toys will be released in store late 2010 or early 2011. To see these photos, here is my video:

Okay, so the toys, especially the action figures, do not look the same as the Rangers on TV. Why Bandai has decided to change the look on the toys from the TV show? Idk. They don't look bad. I think they look pretty cool. But I do wish they had figures that actually looked like the Rangers in the show.

The zords don't really impress me that much. Nor do the weapons and morphers. It's kinda disappointed. But then again, it's Bandai America. Not Bandai Japan.

Then I also uploaded another video. It's just an update video on my collection, my YouTube Channel, and this blog:

And to finish up this post, here's my VIDEOS IN THE WORKS list:

Coming later this year 2010:
1. Power Morphicon 2010 Compilation
2. 1996 Deluxe Zeo Red Battlezord
3. Gekiranger GekiChopper Vinyl Figure
4. MMPR German Talking Red Ranger
5. MM Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game PV
6. YouTube Icon #19

Coming 2011:
1. My Power Rangers/Super Sentai Collection 24
2. YouTube Icon #20

Here's Morning Musume's new profile picture with the outfits for their upcoming new album "Fantasy! Juuichi". These are the same "princess" outfits that they wear in their "Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game" PV:

And the songs on the tracklist for their new album have been switched around a little bit. Here's the official tracklisting:

1. Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game (Album Ver.)
2. Bravo!
3. Fantasy ga Hajimaru
4. Onna Gokoro to Nanto Yara
5. Ai no Honoo
6. I’m Lucky girl
7. Sungoi My Birthday
8. Ichi Kara Juu Made Aishite Hoshii
9. Itoshiku Kurushii Kono Yoru ni

And lastly, the Graduation of Kamei Eri, Junjun, and Linlin will be broadcasted in 3D live on TV. The concert will be re-broadcasted in January in 2D. 0.o Hmm... I find this very interesting. Personally, I'm not a big fan of 3D, but I don't mind it either. Eh whatever, I'm gonna watch it on YouTube whenever someone puts it up. xP

We have only about a month until the graduation. I hope the three members enjoy they're last month in the group. >.<

All I Want...

...is a car. xD

No, but really. I do want a car. Actually, I need it. And my parents know it. But it's taking them so long to find one for me! I know it would make my life much more expensive because of gas, insurance, etc. but it would make my life so much easier! It would make my family's lives easier! I don't care what kind. I don't care if it's nice. I don't care if it's a brand new car or an old piece of crap car. As long as it works, I'm fine. I just want/need one now!!! OMG!!!

Anyway...

Since Cross Country practice is over, I get to either go home early or hang out with my friends at wherever we feel like it. Today, I hitched a ride with one of my friends to go home early (do u now see why I need a car?). So now I'm home just relaxing, listening to music, and talking to my GF on my band's facebook (which BTW add us :P).

Umm what else... well Morning Musume's new album covers have been released. They're wearing the same dresses that they wear in their latest single:

The top one is the regular edition. And the bottom one is the limited edition.

Hmm... what else... umm... yah idk... xP

I'll Be Sonic

Last night was our high school's Homecoming Dance. Although it is my Senior Year, I didn't go. I have a few reasons for this:

1. Saving up money for Prom, Senior Ring, and other Senior expenses
2. Not a lot of my other friends were going
3. No BMOC
4. GF claimed she didn't wanna go

So we had other plans. >.<

Me, my GF, and a few other of our friends from the XC team went to Plaza Bonita (our local mall) to hang out what not. After that I went to her house to hang out some more. I didn't realize that yesterday was the 13th, which meant that it was our 3 month anniversary. I love you. <<<333

On another note, one of my fav bands A Day To Remember is going to release their new album "What Separates Me From You" this Tuesday! But their new album has been leaked throughout the internet! Here's one of my fav songs on their new album:

Hmm... I wonder what I'm gonna do today... xP

Cross Country Experience

So yesterday was the day of the finals for the 2010 Cross Country season. And this was my last year of high school country. I'm gonna miss this sport a lot.

Although I didn't break my PR (personal record) yesterday, I think I did the best that I could. My PR was 18:44 and I got 18:46 yesterday. I could've gone out a little slower, but it is what it is. It was an amazing season and an awesome experience. After the races, the awards ceremony took place and the top 10 runners from each divisions got medals (I was #18 in my division. which I think is great for me :D). Then after the awards, we went to La Bella's Pizza Place and had delicious pizza! Yum. :P

I love Cross Country to death. It's my favorite sport by far. I wish I joined as a freshman....

I joined Cross Country as a sophomore. The only reason why I joined XC is cuz my dad was forcing me to join a sport in high school. And I liked running and I knew a few people in XC and who were joining it, so I joined the sport that football and lacrosse players don't consider a "sport". Anyone who thinks that is stupid. I wanna see them try to run 3 miles at their very hardest non-stop. >.<

I wasn't really serious about the sport. Originally, I didn't plan on lettering varsity. Nor did I expect to meet a lot of interesting people or make a lot of new friends. I just planned on running. I didn't think I was going to have so much fun with this sport.

Being on the team has made me be a little more responsible, dedicated, and loyal. My first year of XC was fun. It's where I started out as a slow newbie, then slowly worked my way up. I learned a lot of things and became familiar more and more every day I had practice. I became really good friends with a few of the guys. It's also the year when I decided to also do Track & Field. But I do love XC much more.

My second year was great too. I was more familiar with everyone and new people came into the team. I was now a veteran of the team and I had a tiny bit of authority. xP It's the year I finally broke 20 minutes for 3 miles. :D It's also the year I found the girl of my dreams. <3

My third and final year was amazing. The best year by far. Although it didn't really end off in the way I expected too, it was an amazing year and I don't regret anything. It's the year I came out of an injury and still ran very well. It's the year I was able to have authority over the JV team. It's the year my band mates joined the tam. It's year I lettered varsity. And it's the year I won a race. I don't think it can get any better than that. :D

I will always love this sport. But I have decided that I will not be running in collage. But I know that I have a few more races to come. My next will be the Footlocker race, which anybody can run, which is in December. And then next in June or July, I will be racing at XC camp as a counselor (if I decide to go, which I hope I will). And I will continue running on my own or with friends just for fun and to stay in shape. I won't be doing a whole lot, but I will run as much as I can.

Cross Country is a sport. It's my favorite sport. And nobody will change my mind. Thank you to everyone whose made this whole XC experience for me a great one. I love you all from the bottom of my heart. Now I'm looking forward to my last season of Track & Field. :D

EXCLUSIVE SHOW SUCCESS!

Today was an amazing day! My band Nightmare's Riot had an "Exclusive" show at our local library called Bonita Library. It was an amazing show!

I was the first one out of the band to get there at 12pm. (Oh yah, and it was Daylight Savings Time.) I (vocals/bass) waited for my band mates to get there in the parking lot of the library. Christian (drums) was the next one to arrive. We went in the library and met the librarian there and she showed us where we were playing. Originally we were gonna play in the Community Room, but since the weather was nice, she decided for us to play outside. There was no stage, like a punk show, which was pretty cool. It was just a patio and it had kind of a nice scenery for an alt. rock band like us. :P

We played an hour set and it was really fun. If your curious, here's our setlist:

1. Intro/Ego Diligo Vos
2. War Of Sorrow
3. The Anchor On Our Boat
4. Home & Away
5. We're Not A Vice, Nor Is This A Virtue
6. I'll Care If You Care
7. Doobie
8. Caraphernelia/Instant Armageddon
9. Zucchini Weeni
10. Kid Pride
11. Look Toward The Life You Lead/Outro

And yes, all of these songs are original songs written by us (except "Caraphernelia", which is by Pierce The Veil).

We wanna thank every single person who came out today to watch and support us. You guys make playing shows and being in a band worth it. And thanks to all of our guest performers and the Bonita Library for letting us play! We love you all!

1ST PLACE!!!

Last week, I lettered varsity on my XC team....

This week, I won the JV race!!! :D YAY!!!

I am so damn happy! During the race, I really didn't think I would win. But at the final stretch, I was able to out-sprint my teammate in front of me. I want to thank my two teammates for pushing me to my potential so that I could win the race. And I wanna thank all my friends who cheered for me and congratulated me after the race. I love you guys! :D

Yesterday was a fun day. Not just because I won (although it was the highlight of the day haha), but just the whole day in general. I had a nice walk with my GF on the shore of Imperial Beach. <3 And our coach bought the whole team ice cream. YUM. :P

Oh yah! I was also able to watch Morning Musume's newest PV "Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game". It is such an amazing video! I am so happy with it! It's their best PV since "Shouganai Yume Oibito" in my opinion. I know I put it up in my previous blog post. But I'm gonna put it up in this post too, because IT'S JUST THAT GOOD!:

And the tracklist for Morning Musume’s 11th album titled "Fantasy! Juuichi" has been released:

1. Seishun Collection
2. Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game
3. Bravo!
4. Sungoi My Birthday
5. Otome Gokoro to Nanto Yara
6. Ichi Kara Juu Made Aishite Hoshii
7. Denwa de ne
8. Fantasy ga Hajimaru
9. I’m Lucky girl
10. Itoshiku Kurushii Kono Yoru ni
11. Ai no Honoo

I have also updated my CrunchyRoll with more pictures and info! Please check it out!

And my band Nightmare's Riot is having a show tomorrow at Bonita Library! Thanks to a few of my friends from our school's broadcasting class for the KORtv report of us! Here it is:

Movember

So it's the second to the last month of the year and I feel like 2010 just started. This month is also "No Shave November", "Mustache November", or better known as "Movember". It's the month where guys do not shave in support of prostate cancer awareness. And yes, I am also taking part in this awareness act. The only part of my face that I am shaving are my cheeks cuz it doesn't look good when I try to grow it out. xP So I'm basically growing out a go-tee. Idk if that's how you spell it. I'm pretty sure it's not. xP

I am currently listening to one of my fav bands Escape The Fate, who have released a new album just on Tuesday. I am kinda disappointed. They've really changed. Barely any screams. And when they do have screams, it sounds like they added a filter to it. It's the lead singer forgot how to scream so they had to cover it up with filters. And the lyrics are crap. I'm sorry, but they are. It's like they just threw a bunch of words in to make them sound more "emo" than they really are. It sounds so rushed and the songs are mediocre. Nothing really special. Although I do have to say that their song "The Aftermath (G3)" is a good follow up to their past "Guillotine" songs.

If you look at their cover, you would expect a band playing post-hardcore/screamo music. But when you actually listen to the album, it's more alternative, almost pop. I like alternative and pop rock, but that's not what ETF was their last few albums:

The Japanese Pop All Girl Group Morning Musume has released their newest PV 44th single titled "Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game". I haven't watched it yet because I've been so busy. PLus, I just found out that it was released today. :P I have seen the preview, and from what I saw, It's an elegant video and I hope it doesn't disappoint me as much as ETF's self-titled album did. So you can watch the PV first and I'll catch up on it soon:

And tomorrow, my high school's XC team is racing Mater Die Catholic High School at Imperial Beach. I am so PSYCHED for this race! The people who usually run varsity aren't racing because they are not needed in this race. Which means some of the Upper JV racers will be filling in their spots and will be running varsity. And yes, I am a Upper JV racer, but I will not be in the varsity race. All the Upper JV racers happen to all be faster than me and I am next on the list, which means I have a very good chance to get 1st place in the JV race! :D I'm excited!

1st Place! All For Her. <3
