Epic EP

Yesterday was tiring, but it was totally worth it. :D

So my band Nightmare's Riot recorded 4 new songs at TrackStar Studios yesterday! We got there at 11am to set up. When we got there, we were surprised to see that it was a house. 0.o But the studio inside was awesome! We met the producer once again named Sven, (pronounced "swen") who was one of the judges at the Poway show. He showed us all the different rooms: the recording room, the mixing room, the room for the guitar amp, etc. He also showed us all the awards that he's won over the past years that he's been recording and producing for local bands. O.O

At about 12pm we started recording. The recording equipment he has is great! Very professional. I really want his mics. :P We recorded 4 songs and he gave us really good suggestions and ideas. He made us better than we really are. :P We took multiple takes for each song and it was very tiring but worth it in the end. We recorded multiple guitar tracks so that the songs would feel heavier and have multiple dimensions so that the songs would sound more powerful. He also fix missed beats while mixing and he even did stuff to my voice to make me sound a little bit more decent. :P

At about 6pm, he started do final mixings and remastering for each song. He then burned them on CDs for each of us and we listened to the final works. We are very pleased with what we (mostly he) did. The songs sound great and I thank Sven for that. :D After that, we went to eat at In & Out. We were starving!

So now we are going to burn more discs and create album art for this new EP that we are going to release for FREE soon! Hopefully people will enjoy the 4 new original songs that are on our new EP. The songs will also be on MySpace and available free for download on PureVolume. Oh yah, and we do have a name for the EP, but we're not going to release it yet. But it will be released very soon.

Photos of us recording are on our MySpace. Video of us recording will be on YouTube soon.

Heading To The Recording Studio

So after winning the Battle of the Bands in Poway a few weeks ago, my band Nightmare's Riot won 7 hours of recording at TrakStar Studios in La Mesa, CA (about 30 minutes from where we live) and the time to professionally record is tomorrow!

From 11am - 6pm, we will be recording in an actual recording studio, instead of our going through our usual "set up our crappy recording equipment in a garage and record crap quality songs and release them on iTunes for a high price so that no one will buy it" routine.

The plan this time is to record about 4-5 songs professionally (the producer said to choose 4 songs, but we have 5 songs ready just in case we have more time) and take our time with each song (with the help of the producer of course). And after the final mixing, we will get those songs and makes copies of them on CDs and release an EP for FREE! We will just be handing them out to whoever wants one.

Who knows... maybe we'll get more exposure this time...

Well, I'm excited to finally step foot into a professional recording studio and record good quality stuff. We plan on recording brand new material that we've been practicing a lot for the past few days. If we do record 5 songs, the 5th song will be a surprise. If not, then oh well. We've recorded it already....

*wink wink* *nudge nudge* :P

What To Do About Something

I'm sad. :(

First off, after cross country practice, my girlfriend's ride left her, so she had to walk after her car. It was sad seeing her walk after her ride and I felt bad. I think her mom doesn't like me or something. I'm actually kinda scared of her. 0.o

Second, my friend who graduated high school already is moving to Virginia with the rest of his family, which is all the way on the other side of the country from where I live! D: NO!!! It's so sudden and too soon! And he's leaving next Friday! Him, a few other friends, and I are gonna hang out after school. We're gonna do whatever he wants to do. I hope he comes back to at least visit us. He says he's gonna try to come back, rent an apartment, and live here. He doesn't wanna leave and we don't want him to leave! We're gonna miss him!

Third, if you haven't noticed on my YouTube Channel, I had to delete some of videos. D: I got an e-mail from YouTube saying that I had too many videos with copyright info and that I had to delete some of them in order to keep my account. If I kept uploading videos with copyright that I do not own, my account would be deleted, along with the rest of my videos. So I had to delete quite a few videos. I had 402 videos, and now I'm down to 378 videos. So if my calculations are correct, I deleted 24 of my uploaded videos. All of the videos I deleted had copyright info that I did not own (such as music or video). I don;t remember which ones I deleted (I should've written them down somewhere before I deleted them from YouTube), but there were some new and old videos that were deleted. I still have 5 videos that have copyright info. These videos are videos that I MUST keep online.

So as a warning, if my YouTube account gets deleted, you know why....

And fourth, I still have homework to do. Good night.

Back From Power Morphicon 2!

Power Morphicon 2 was a great success! :D

So I just came back home from staying in Pasedena over the weekend. We left Saturday morning and stayed at a hotel for the night. I don't wanna give EVERYTHING away just yet, because I will be having some videos of PMC 2 up on YouTube hopefully soon.

Since I had Cross Country practice early on Saturday morning (at 7 am to be exact), we left a little later than I wanted to and I got to the convention at about 12:30. It's a 2 hour long drive and we kept stopping at rest areas (thanks dad -___-). I missed the first panel that I wanted to go to, which was the Mighty Morphin/Zeo Panel. I got there in time to see the second half of the second panel I wanted to see, which was the Lost Galaxy/Lightspeed Rescue/Wild Force Panel, but after checking in and entering the convention center, I was OVERWHELMED! I went downstairs where all the action was happening and there were vendors everywhere! And there were tables to meet the Rangers, writers, producers, and other guests and they were all there! I completely ignored going to the second panel and looked at everything googley-eyed.

There was so much stuff and so many fans and so many guests that I didn't know where to start off first. But after looking around (and staring at the Rangers in amazement :P) I went to the Pretty & Powerful Panel. After that, I looked around some more, got some autographs, got some stuff signed, took pictures with some of the guests, went to more panels, and took video. I wanted to buy some stuff from some of the vendors (other than paying for autographs and pictures), but I decided that I would wait until today so that I wouldn't have to carry it around or if prices would go down.

Today was just as great as yesterday, maybe even better, because I was able to go to more panels, get more autographs and pictures with more Rangers, and buy stuff. I will be doing videos of some of the stuff I got. They will all be mentioned in my PMC 2 videos, but I will have separate picture videos for some of them (like my Power Rangers Zeo Deluxe Red Battlezord that was released in 1996. :D). I also stayed for the Closing Ceremony, which was a great way to end this great convention.

I hope everyone who went to the convention had a great time, because I know I did! And if you didn't go, sorry. It was great and we wish you came. And regardless if you did or didn't go, please stay tuned to watch my new videos of PMC 2!

And the next Power Morphicon will take place in the year 2012! :D See you there!

Meaning Something To Somebody Else

It's been over a week since I've posted a blog. And it's been almost 3 weeks since I've posted a video up on my YouTube Channel. Again, I'm sorry. I just haven't had the time lately.

But now I have made time, because today was the first official day of Power Morphicon 2010. I did not attend today, but I will be attending tomorrow and Sunday. I hope everyone had a great time at the convention today! And I can't wait to go tomorrow. :D I already packed up my stuff that I wanna get signed by some of the Rangers that are gonna be there. I wish I went today, but I couldn't go because of school.

Speaking of school, this week has been tiring and busy. I'm trying to balance out everything right: school, friends, cross country, band, girlfriend <3, etc. Life is taking it's toll on me. But everything is working out alright so far. Everything's not PERFECT right now, but I'm happy and enjoying life as best as I can. If everything was perfect, then life would be boring, wouldn't it? xP

So yah, that's really all I can say for now. I'm gonna have a new video(s) of my Power Morphicon 2 experience sometime when I get back from Pasedena. :D

New Musume Stuff

So an LQ preview of Morning Musume's 44th single has been released. The title of the single is "Appare! Kaitenzushi" which translates to "Splendid! Conveyor Belt Sushi" in English. The title hasn't been confirmed yet, but this is most likely the title of the song.

It's a catchy song and it has a pretty fast beat. It's a fun song and hoprefully it will be proven worthy to be #1 on the Oricon Charts. From what I can hear, I think all the members have solo lines, which is a VERY GOOD thing. I'm not totally sure about it, but I hope it's true. It sounds like a good last single for Kamei Eri, Junjun, and Linlin.

Hopefully we get a radio preview of the song soon. The expected release date is October 13.

Here's a LQ preview of the song:

And also, producer of MM, Tsunku, has revealed that H!P Eggs that meet the qualifications (being 10-17 years old) will be allowed to audition to be part of MM's 9th generation, only upon request. H!P Eggs that decide to audition will pass immediately to the first stage of the audition, which means that they won’t need to be screened initially.

I was surprised to find out about this, but I think it's a good idea for H!P Eggs to audition, instead of having Tsunku automatically put them in MM without an audition. I kinda don't want any Eggs in MM, but if any of them who choose to audition pass, then I guess they are worthy to be in this amazing group.

I would still like to see other girls make it into MM. I really don't want any 12 year olds in the group though. I think that's too young. They should at least be 14 or 15, in my opinion.

I hope that Morning Musume's 44th single will end off a great era in a great way. :D

UPDATE @ 8:50 PM: The release date for Morning Musume's 44th single has been pushed back to November 17!

Beauty Through Broken Glass

I love her so much. <3

So I finally told my parents that I now have a girlfriend. And I was very surprised at their reaction....

I was very nervous about telling my parents about having a girlfriend. They, mainly my dad, have told me that he doesn't want me nor my bro to have girlfriends until we were like 21. He said it would affect out education in a bad way. -___- But I told them anyway and their reactions were as follows:

Dad: "Okay. That's cool."
Mom: "I had a feeling."

O.o

WTF just happened?

They actually approved of it. And this just happened about an hour ago. I was surprised but happy to their reactions. We talked about it for a while and they asked me a few questions about her, to get an idea of what kind of girl I'm going out with.

Well, I'm glad I told my parents. And I'm happy. :D

BTW listen to this song. It's epic:

Love You Baby <3
